Décor was pleasing to the eye. Ruth was efficient and helpful, the manager checked with the guests at breakfast, I felt important.
It was so nice, enjoyed it, breakfast was delicious.
The wooden beams were full of dust on top. White linen had stains on it. There are no power plugs to e.g. plugging in the boiler. When you walk up the stairs you bump your head against the thatched roof - I'm not a tall person at all.
Enjoyed the stay, had a lovely day at the pool and nice braai for supper, it is pet friendly and we will recommend Tidewaters to people.
Thank you for hosting us, we had a lovely stay and even extended it with one more night. Staff were friendly and always available. The river was not great for fishing, but beautiful and great for a walk. I would definitely suggest a small washing line to hang towels and wet clothes. The pool needs to be made safe with some form of enclosure.
Surprisingly delicious experience.
It was wonderful to just walk into a quiet environment, kick off your shoes on the stoep and relax. Away from the everyday activities, no busy streets and honking horns as we are almost used to.

The room we booked is not the room we got. Reception was also unaware of our booking and the fact that we had already paid and had to call around quite a bit to confirm this. However, the room we did get worked. The room is self-catering but does not have enough cutlery for the number of people in the room and we had to ask for extras. The room was also very superficially cleaned which was unpleasant. The room also does not have enough power points for the accessories and one has to be pulled out to plug in another, for example. I recommend a multiplug. The wooden floors above us caused the guests above us to be terribly disturbed. Price-wise, with all that considered, we've stayed in a lot of places that were a lot cheaper and better. On a positive note, the staff are friendly and the breakfast delicious. Unfortunately we will not be coming back.

The location is ideal if you travel from the Southern Cape to Natal (or the other way around) with good service, clean and different accommodation options. Staff is friendly and helpful. Good value for money.

From the minute we arrived it was instant relaxation and rest. Heartfelt greeting on arrival and nothing was too much trouble. Our hostess, Phumzi, was an absolute gem and always had a smile. Very nice stay. Apart from the fact that our room did not have an aircon on one of the hottest days of the year, it was an excellent visit. The swimming pool did cool us down.
Staff very friendly, room very clean and tidy with well maintained garden. Room we stayed in lacks air conditioning. Fan is insufficient and the room gets very hot. There is a lack of natural sunlight in the room in question. Choose a variation for breakfast.
The person on duty was very friendly, attentive and nice. But for the price we paid, there really needed to be better maintenance - things were breaking or broken in the room (toilet seat, kettle, light fixtures) and in the general space. It was a pleasant stay but for the price and the promotion of it being a 4 star place, we really expected a lot more.

I booked this facility because it was a 4 star B&B. When we arrived there was a nice young lady Pumzi who received us, no management. The rooms did not have air con's in, surely, surely a four star rated B&B would have air cons, when I asked Pumzi to speak to the owners she said they did not give her airtime to phone them so there was no contact. It was probably 30 degrees, weekend of the Ironman in East London, hence the need for the air con! So with that kind of poor service we left and checked in somewhere else where there were air cons and the service was great.
Rooms are spacious and tidy. Staff was very friendly. The location of the guesthouse is very good.
The bathroom urgently needs attention. Our bed lamp didn't have a light bulb and we couldn't be assisted with one. The mattress was terrible and it has to be replaced immediately.
The lady who welcomed us was very good, showed us everything immediately and also made us a delicious breakfast the next morning. Room was very nice and spacious.
Nice room, great breakfast. Hostess was very attentive. Too bad there were no chairs at the pool. There was a couch outside the room, sitting on it all evening was less.
Good value for money. The coffee is just very weak, but otherwise excellent value for money. The coffee could be stronger and breakfast hotter.
We stayed in the family room. Our long weekend visit for the Ironman 2015 was really really enjoyable. The location is close to the sea as well as restaurants and shops. The family room was very spacious and our children really enjoyed the pool.

WE ENDED UP STAYING AT THE SELF-CATERING CHALET FOR THE NIGHT. IT WAS SO LOVELY WE WISH WE COULD HAVE STAYED LONGER.
Dealing with a large group could sometimes become complicated. There are various requests and at times causes confusion for the establishment. In this instance we had a combination of this, but Antoinette handled it extremely well.
